[expand title=”Testimonial” rel=”prep-highlander”]

“Beyond polite, beyond accommodating – Stefanie and her energetic staff were kind, cheerful, proactively helpful, generous with their time and talents, and completely engaged in the success of our daughter’s wedding.  They somehow managed to be 100% available and friendly yet completely discreet.

The first time our daughter saw the lodge, she knew it would make the perfect wedding venue.  From the wood floors throughout to the gorgeous wall of palladium windows in the dining room to the oversize rock hearth and 2-story ceiling in the main hall, Wildwood proved to be an ideal location for the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, wedding dinner, dance, and overnight!  The bride and groom married in front of the huge hearth, and the band set up there for the dance after dinner.  The celebration was all under one roof, and our overnight guests all gathered for a lovely, casual, sunlit breakfast buffet the next morning.  So many of our guests commented how beautifully suited the lodge was for an autumn weekend getaway.  We also rented the Clubhouse and Cottage for the bridal party.  Wildwood was an inspiration to decorate for the occasion – we just accentuated its classic, authentic, historic architecture with strings of twinkling lights (thanks Kelly) and local foliage.

The wedding buffet was exactly what we ordered – a Thanksgiving style meal prepared to perfection and heartily enjoyed by our 140 or so guests.  The kitchen and dining room staff are attentive, competent, efficient, and gracious.  Beverages and wedding cake were served speedily with no awkward wait.  The smaller sit-down rehearsal dinner (salmon with fettuccine) was equally well done – elegant and delicious.  We are still receiving texts from delighted guests about the beauty and warmth of the venue and the joyful wedding weekend.  Additionally, the woodland setting and the historic buildings were a poetic backdrop for all those priceless photos.

The only difficult thing about the entire 3-day weekend was saying good-bye.”
